WE OFFER 3 ‘COMFORTS’ TO HELP SUPPORT YOU THROUGHOUT YOUR DAY:
Our 1st comfort is: Breathless ‘Like a Feather”: days made for relaxing and lounging.
It’s fabric is Lenzing Tencel is made from trees that come from certified forest blended with Lenzing’s REFIBRA™ technology which involves upcycling cotton scraps from garment production.
Although we’d love to eliminate spandex altogether material innovations are just not there yet. To keep the desired stretch that leggings need switch to use Roica EF for our spandex replacement. Roica™ EF, made by recycling waste fiber generated in the manufacturing process, is the world’s only spandex certified under the Global Recycle Standard (GRS).*
Our 2nd comfort is: ‘I need a Hug’: for days you just need a little more love to get you motivated.
The fabric used in this comfort is Amni Soul Eco® is made from castor oil, this bio-based material does not significantly change any characteristics over traditional nylon yarns. To keep the desired stretch that leggings need we switched to use Asahi Kasei's ROICA® V550, it is also Cradle to Cradle certified and is degradable, made from special polymer.
Again we’d love to eliminate spandex altogether but we’ve found the next best thing. ROICA V550 yarn has been assessed against the criteria of the Material Health category in the Cradle to Cradle** Certified Product Standard and was awarded a Gold Level Material Health Certificate by the Cradle to Cradle Product Innovation Institute. This yarn has been evaluated for impact on human and environmental health. The criteria, at each level, builds towards the expectation of eliminating all toxic and unidentified chemicals, and becoming nutrients for a safe, continuous cycle. ROICA smartly breaks down without releasing harmful substances in the environment.
Our 3rd comfort is: ‘Support Me”: for days you need all the support you can get!
We decided when you play hard you need all the support you can get. We ultimately decided to go with Recycled Nylon for this comfort. We are keeping a close eye on the performance and after life of this product. To try to eliminate spandex we are experimenting with a new innovation, using Unifi’s Reflexx technology to provide stretch without toxic spandex yarns.
